“Inside out”, Pixar’s newest masterpiece?

Is the upcoming animated feature, Inside Out, going to be the one to set Pixar Studios above the rest, I’d like to think so. After doing some thorough research I found my answer.

Already being hailed by Cannes as, “Pixar’s greatest idea”, Inside out is on its way to becoming one of the greatest animation feats to date and one to look out for at the upcoming Academy Awards. Reviewing site, Rotten Tomatoes has given it the RARE RATING of 100%, and it hasn’t even been commercially released yet, say whaaaaat?!

Take a look:

The brain-child of Pixar Veteran, Pete Docter, Inside out marks Docter’s 7th film for Pixar, and from what we’ve seen, he hasn’t lost his edge one bit. The film wasn’t just a recent idea that came to him though, as Inside out has been in the pipeline for some time. Pixar first revealed the following information on the upcoming film at D23 Expo 2011: “From director Pete Docter comes an inventive new film that explores a world that everyone knows, but no one has seen: inside the human mind.” It was later revealed that Docter had based the movie on an idea he had, seeing his daughter grow up from a happy little girl to a moody pre-teen.

Bleeding Cool had this to say on the concept of his film: Pete [Docter] has this way of constantly trying to figure out something that we’re all familiar with in some way… he’s constantly looking for these kinds of things. You look at people oftentimes and they do something to make you go “What are they thinking?” or it’s like how a song gets stuck in your head and you just can’t get it out. Little quirky things like this that we all do. Certain emotions just seem to take us over, anger or happiness, where you start giggling and laughing and you can’t stop. He thought “I want to take a look at that, explain that.” His idea is that the emotions of this little girl are the characters and it takes place in the head of this little girl, and shows how they control things that go on. It’s very, very clever and it’s truly unlike anything you’ve ever seen, yet it explains things you’ve seen.

This just amps us up even more as fans for June 19th when Inside Out is released to the public. Honestly, I cannot wait for this movie to be released, I am a die-hard fan of Pixar and am always impressed by their AMAZING work. How about you? Hope you enjoyed this article and believe you me, when the film is released, expect a review from yours truly.

The quote of the day comes from Inside Out’s Director, Pete Docter and he once said: “I made tons of films. I did animation for my friends’ films. I animated scenes just for the fun of it. Most of my stuff was bad, but I had fun, and I tried everything I knew to get better.” There you have it folks, practice really does make perfect. Now go out there and do something…and have fun doing it.

I’m out.
